communities. Youth rugby covers ages 6-19. If

There are a number of high schools in the area which have rugby programs. These schools include: Greenwich High School, Staples (Westport) High School, Norwalk High, Fairfield High School and Fairfield Prep.

We are always looking for more coaches, referees and team managers so if you want to be involved in high school rugby, please contact Erick Shrauger.
Even if your town does not have a high school or club team, the Norwalk team is open to all players of high school age (ages 14-19). If you are interested in playing for the Norwalk team please contact the coach Nick Taylor at kscswimmer21@hotmail.com or 203-240-1932.
For this season two new high school teams exist in Connecticut. Cromwell and Cheshire High Schools have started programs and will be kicking off their inaugural seasons this Spring 2006. For more information on these teams please contact Erick Shrauger.
Bob Bishop is in the process of starting a team in the Amity High School district which includes interested players from Woodbridge, Orange and Bethany. Stay tuned for more details.
If you are interested in attending a summer rugby clinic in Norwalk please contact John Hill at jhill@rugbyclassusa.com. His clinic usually occurs in July at Andrew’s field in Norwalk. Pre-High School Rugby:
There are 2 programs in Fairfield County geared for pre-high school kids. 
The most established program runs in the spring and fall at the Old Greenwich Civic Center. The practices and scrimmages are every Saturday and cover boys from the ages of 6 to 14. You do not have to be a Greenwich resident for your son to play. Please contact the Old Greenwich Civic Center at 203-637-3659 or www.ogrcc.com for details.
For this spring 2006, a pre-high school league is developing in the Ridgefield and Wilton areas. The kick off for this league will take place on March 11th and coincide with the Yankee’s first game of the season. All boys and girls ages 6 to 14 are invited to attend the event. It will start at 11:30 at Wilton High School Football field. If your son or daughter is interested in playing in this league please contact Erick Shrauger for details.
